About us

Who we are?

Global is an International Church that knows how hard it is for people to settle in to a new country. People describe us as a “Big Family”.  We really love to show people Kiwi – International friendship.

Together in the heart of the city, expressing God’s heart for the nations.

Our church’s mission statement is, “Together in the heart of the city, expressing God’s heart for the nations.” True to this statement, Global welcomes people from all over the world who come to New Zealand for education, work, migration, or simply a better life.  Most of us came to New Zealand for the same reasons so we know what it is like adapting in a new land!

Global is a community where you can find friends and support, and most importantly, the motivation that drives it all – the love of Jesus Christ. Sunday services are conducted in easy English, so it is a great place to practice speaking English! We start with a simple, yet a meaningful time of music worship followed by a message. Our style of delivering messages are creative and varies each week with different speakers. We sometimes even have interactive dramas or musicals as part of the service!

Unlike most churches, we sit at round tables in small groups where we have opportunities to meet new people, share stories and pray for each other’s needs and enjoy lunch together at the end of the service.

The highlight of the service is definitely the discussion time, where we all have the opportunity to discuss the messages from the bible and ask questions about Christianity.

So, if you are new in the city, it doesn’t matter if you’re not a Christian, please feel most welcome!

Come along on Sundays at 10.30 am where you will meet many people who share similar experiences as you. Our entrance is located at the side of the building or simply lookout for one of our friendly greeters at the door. We look forward to welcoming you!

Kia ora!

Here at Global, we discover the love of Jesus Christ together through small group discussions, Bible study and Alpha courses.
